Build your profile
Pick the apps and websites to block, then download a signed profile. It goes on a supervised iPhone.
Not supervised yet? The guide shows how to get there.
The Mac app also installs profiles for free on any supervised iPhone.
Apps
It starts with the feed apps people lose the most hours to. Search the App Store to add more.
- TikTok
- YouTube
- X
- Snapchat
- Threads
Websites
Hiding an app leaves its website open, so every blocked app adds its sites here. Untick a site to leave it open.
Restrictions
Off by default. A trial profile can be removed in Settings. Turn it off and download again when you are ready to commit.
More settings
Turning it off also stops app updates; banks and airlines break. Blocking apps by name is usually better.
Every download is a new profile. A second one adds to the first and cannot loosen or replace it.
Install it
- On a Mac, open Apple Configurator and connect the supervised iPhone with a cable.
- Select the iPhone, click Add, then Profiles, and choose the file you downloaded.
- If the iPhone asks, open Settings and tap Install.
Downloading on the iPhone itself? Tap Allow, then go to Settings > Profile Downloaded > Install.
Blocked apps still download from the App Store, but they stay hidden and will not open.
